U11s back to winning ways

A beautiful summer's evening saw Headley's team visit Elstead,with the home team choosing to bat after winning the toss.

Elstead managed their usual strong start,with the first three pairs retiring not out.Good contributions from Sam H, Archie W, Ollie R and Will B saw Elstead to a total of 99 for 5 in their allocation of 20 overs.

Headley's reply started strongly and at the end of the 16th over they were 73 runs for the loss of just one wicket,leaving them with a target of 27 runs from their final 4 overs. However,some great bowling by Archie W, who was well supported by Sam H at the other end,saw Elstead to victory. Archie conceded no runs off the bat from his final two overs,as well as bowling Headley's returning opening batsman.
