Hambledon won the toss on a fine spring evening and put Elstead into bat.Elstead did not start as strongly as in their previous two matches and lost wickets regularly to a very strong bowling attack.By the end of the 14th over,Elstead had slipped to 68 for 9 and looked in danger of not using up their full allocation of overs. However,Sam and Jack put on a stirring last wicket stand to take Elstead's innings into the final over and a score of 93 which seemed competitive.Sam was the top scorer with 33 not out,and there were strong contributions from Will R,Ollie R and Jack.
Hambledon's innings started well and despite a double wicket strike by Sam in the 4th over, they always looked in control and overtook Elstead's total at the end of the 15th over, for the loss of just 3 wickets.
