Perfect Team Performance in all areas

Having won the toss and elected to bat first, Elstead racked up a huge score of 139 for 3 off the full 20 overs.
An excellent opening partnership of Will R and Ben S played an intelligent, mature innings, punishing the loose balls and employing a steady defensive bat when needed.
With Ben S, Will R and Elliot S all retiring having scored 25, it was down to the rest of the team to hit out and try to post the highest total we could. And did we ever - Rafa posted a cool 9 in his own confident way before being caught, Sam H made a solid 15 not out, and Sam McF added 6 before being Run Out on the last ball of the innings after a bit of misunderstanding of the calls.

The fielding was superb, with great cover from all players in all positions. Some superb bowling with 4 great catches and two great bowled wickets from Luke W and Sam H and everyone who wanted to bowl having at least one over.

We did give away 19 extras however, which is an area we need to try to control.
But overall a fantastic performance that everyone of you should be proud of.
A special mention to Elliot S for an inspired leadership performance as captain - great decisions on batting order, a great individual batting performance with 26 runs retired and sensible decisions to position the field. Well done !
