The weekend kicked off in style with a nail biting finish for the Sunday senior team as the secured victory with the last ball in a 20/20 against Shackleford on Friday evening. Archie scoring a 51 not out and Ollie getting four wickets in the final over were particular highlights.
The 2nd team scooped 29 points as they kept Midhurst to 130, despite one batsman holding doggedly on to finish not out having scored 60 of those. An equally dogged performance from Keith and Dickie helped Elstead win by 6 wickets.
Scott, once again batting superbly, scoring 72, aided by Ollie with 32, took the 1st team to 201 in their innings. This proved more than enough with the bowling attack taking the victory by 31 runs.
Another big weekend coming this Saturday as the first team take on Blackheath away, the two's scrap with Tilford at home and the Sunday's host the Hyde Farmers at home also.
