Junior Cricket 2026

Junior Cricket will be starting on the weekend of 17th / 18th April 2026, with the following:

Friday pm: mixed - U13 & U15
Saturday am: mixed - U7 (yes there is an U7 age group!), U9 & U11
Saturday am: Girls - U9 - U15 Girls only (i.e. those girls in these age groups who do not want to play with the boys)

U7s: This will go ahead, however we welcome additional volunteers at this age group. There are no leagues at this level and therefore is a Saturday morning commitment.

Girls: There are the following teams:
- U14 (hard ball) team being run by Elstead
- U11 (soft ball) team - we have joined the Waverly Hub, where girls from different clubs come together to make sure there is a team.
- U9 (softball) - no team as our numbers have not been there, however we can join the Waverly Hub if we have players at this age group. Training will be with U11 softball.
- U15 - will play in the U15 Waverly Hub team.

Registration - details will be sent out in the 2nd half of March, in the meantime make sure you have set up your Pitchero account by hitting "Join" on this site.

Volunteers Required
We welcome any volunteers to help run all the age groups at training and on match days. If you are willing then let us know so that we can get your DBS in place.

Particular requirements are:
- U7s - Coaches required - If you enjoy organising games involving a bat and a few balls, this is for you. Commitment at this level is limited to an hour on Saturday mornings and a little thinking time before hand to decide what games you want to play in the hour and what you want to achieve. Games focus around hitting a ball, throwing, bowling and catching.

Girls - new parent involvement is required for coaching / managing the Girls. There is a lead for the U14s, however more parents required to help and assist with the younger age groups.

Match days
At all matches, the coaches need help with:
- scoring (all done on the Play-cricket scorer app and is really easy. Learn on the job)
- Umpiring - if you are willing to umpire, please let the coaches know
- Set-up and clear up - at the home matches there are a number of things that need to be set up and put away, please do help the coaches with this.

Please contact reach out to the contacts on the website.
